How do you make a picture background translucent in Gimp? Like say I wanted the background in a picture to be translucent so it can’t be seen anymore. How would I go about doing this?

I’ve downloaded Dream-weaver CS4 and now I want to begin creating the website of my dreams, but I have a problem. I kind of need most of the source to be written so I can just fiddle with it. Where can I find some html source website templates that will help me with this.

I recently purchased a pc with windows vista on it. I installed photoshop. But when photoshop opens I get a dialog box that says I don’t have administrative access. However my user account is the only account on my computer, and the title of it is administrator. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Whenever I make a basic HTML page (2 columns with header and footer) in Dreamweaver, and I preview it in IE7, an activex warning pops up. However I havent put anything fancy, and I dont get this warning when I go on sites that have flash or anything either.

I have ilustrator 9 and I was give an illustrator CS file. I need someone to open it and save it in an earlier version so I can open it. How can I find someone to do this for me. It’s a rush job.

I’m trying to use 8px font on a website, but when I use Arial font-style the font turns to a grey. I need a different font-family or other CSS font attributes to change to make it legible.

Ok, I know that Arabic is written right to left, I know about using the dir=rtl code on text that displays on the page, but what about the keywords and descriptions in the html coding- page title, keywords, description?

I am new to photo editing and just a minute ago when i opened a new image I have some how lost all control of the layers dialog box in GIMP. The box is there but every option is grayed out and will not let me control anything. It will not let me even add a layer. A window comes up asking for the specifications of the new layer when i request one but it does nothing. Any help, no matter how basic, would be appreciated.

I like to edit my photo’s to give it that cool and unique feel. Im not a photographer or anything. But im just wondering what photoshop site is really good or what you use?
